  • Grădina Snagov – A charming Romanian restaurant with a beautiful garden setting, ideal for a relaxed lunch.

  • Casa Comana – Perfect for nature lovers; best enjoyed on weekdays, as weekends tend to get crowded.

  • Acacia Village – A peaceful retreat with a farm-to-table concept, using produce from their own garden.

All are located roughly 40–50 km from Bucharest.

Singureni Manor – A refined countryside estate with horse stables and rustic charm, reminiscent of a British riding club. Please note: it’s a more premium option, both in setting and price.

As a certified sommelier, I also offer wine tastings in Bucharest, in a boutique winery focused on niche Romanian wines.

  1. Winery visit near Urlați – A tour of the 1000 de Chipuri vineyard, paired with lunch at the elegant Casa Timiș and a stop at Bellu Mansion, a hidden historical gem.

  2. Ghițzo’s Distillery (near Ploiești) – Taste fruit brandies made from six different fruits, using a special method that eliminates acetone and results in a smoother, cleaner alcohol. This trip also includes Casa Timiș and Bellu Mansion.

  3. Sparkling wine tasting at Rhein Cellars in Azuga – Available for groups of at least 4 (weekdays) or 12 (weekends). Can be combined with a visit to Cantacuzino Castle in Bușteni — whose terrace view, I dare say, rivals that of Peleș Castle — and lunch at their excellent on-site restaurant.
